Worthy Of An Emmy

This year I am reading chronologically through the Bible. I am also leading a Ladies’ Discussion group in my church  that focuses on a different woman of the Bible each week. As such, I’ve had a chance to reread the Old Testament. So far the women are still in Genesis and I have gotten to Numbers in my chronological Bible, and let me say some of this stuff is daytime drama material. Two sisters married to the same man. A man who is ready to kill his son, and another who wants to kill his brother. Murder! A serpent that talks. Daughters who seduce their father. If you’ve never read the Old Testament of the Christian Bible (also known as the  Tanakh or Hebrew Bible) or it has been a while since you’ve done so, I recommend you pick it up. What you’ll read here is better than anything you’ll see on TV.

If you’re new to the Bible, I would recommend

        “New Living Translation”       or                   “The Message.”
